3 YouTube channels to learn from for beginner guitarists

Playing the guitar requires regular practice and lots of work, but this doesn’t mean it can’t be a fun experience.

Here at Feedback, we have scoured the internet to find 3 YouTube channels for you to check out if you want to improve your playing and learn new songs.

Andy Guitar

My personal favourite, Andy Guitar helped me learn how to play during lockdown. With over 2.7 million subscribers on YouTube, Andy is a favourite for aspiring Guitarists world-wide. With an unflappably positive demeanour and clear lessons that will set you up for steady progression, Andy is a staple. His videos are aimed for guitarists at a beginner or intermediate level so, if you’re thinking of learning to play; check him out.

Marty Music

With over 4 million subscribers, Marty Music is an icon in the YouTube community. Marty’s main draw is the sheer number of songs he has lessons on. From the 50’s to present day, Marty Music’s channel is sure to have a good amount of your favourite songs for you to try your hand at. His lessons are clear and brilliantly structured with closeups of finger placement against the fretboard so you can clearly see, which helps if you’re not brilliant at remembering specific chords.

Justin Guitar

Justin Guitar is a must for any beginner guitarist. For help playing barre chords to learning jazz guitar, Justin has a plethora of lessons to choose from. He has over 1 million subscribers on YouTube that have found his lessons helpful. He has playlists on varying grades of guitar so there is something for everyone to use.
