Writing songs can be hard. To give you some inspiration, here are some of our favourite quotes from the alternative scene.
First up we have Noel Gallagher of Oasis. He said: “My first instinct when I write songs is not a negative one. It’s something positive… Everything I have ever done has some form of hope in it, I think.”
Our takeaway from this is exactly what Noel said, keep positive when writing your tunes and something good will come from it.
Next we have Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, said: “I don’t understand anything technical about music at all.
“I don’t understand any of it, why you can’t put these sounds together with these sounds. I only know what sounds good.”
There’s nothing to worry about if you don’t know the blueprint of music itself, as long as you think it sounds good and you enjoy preforming it, that’s what matters.
